By Tanya Terry

A suspect in the recent vandalism incidents that happened April 2- 4 has been arrested and taken into custody.

Multiple Linden Road businesses were vandalized overnight on April 2 and 3, in Flint Township.

Then, on April 4, vandalism occurred in the city of Flint to four University Avenue buildings. One of the buildings vandalized was the Flint Children’s Museum.

The following was posted to the Flint Township Police Department Facebook page:

“After canvassing numerous businesses in the area of the recent vandalism, detectives uncovered suspect information that was disseminated to road patrol officers. Over the weekend, a suspect matching the description was located by a Flint Township Officer walking on the shoulder of a busy road. He was taken into custody, interviewed by detectives, and lodged at the Genesee County Jail.

The same suspect who damaged the buildings in Flint Township likely damaged buildings in the city of Flint, according to Lt. Matt VanLente of the Flint Township Police

The suspect has not been arraigned as of publication time
