Hope Network Foundation hosts ‘Autism’s Got Talent Michigan’

Hope Network’s Centers for Autism to showcase remarkable talents and celebrate abilities

To mark Autism Acceptance Month, Hope Network Foundation and Hope Network’s Center for Autism are celebrating abilities! Starting in mid-April, kids and young adults with autism will be able to showcase their skills during Autism’s Got Talent Michigan. The goal of this event is to celebrate the amazing talents of not just Hope Network’s learners, but the talents anyone with autism has across the state of Michigan.

Participants 25 years old or younger are encouraged to record a video showcasing their talent and submit it online for both public and celebrity panel votes. Performers are encouraged to submit their entry now through April 21 for round one. A final round for the top 10 entries will begin on April 22. Voting concludes at the end of the month with three People’s Choice winners and one Judges’ Choice recipient being named. Members of the public can vote once per day starting on April 11 and can increase their daily limit with donations to Hope Network’s Center for Autism.

Celebrity Judges for this event include Brian Calley, president and CEO of the Small Business Association of Michigan and former lieutenant governor of Michigan; Dan Miller, Fox 2 Detroit broadcaster and radio voice of the Detroit Lions; and Fredi and Romina Bello, autism activists and restaurant entrepreneurs.

The virtual host for Autism’s Got Talent Michigan is Anthony Ianni, an award-winning speaker, author, and former Michigan State University basketball player. Ianni was diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder, which is on the Autism Spectrum, at the age of four.

Participant entries can be submitted and performances be viewed online by visiting www.agtmi.org
