The Genesee County Road Commission will begin a road reconstruction and widening to 3 lanes project on Grand Blanc Road from Dort Highway (M-54) to the city of Grand Blanc Limits in Grand Blanc Township on Wednesday, July 7. The work zone will be closed to thru traffic. The posted detour routes utilize Dort Highway (M-54), Hill Road, Saginaw Road/Street, Holly Road, Cook Road, and S. Dort Highway. Local traffic will be maintained via flagging operation. Pedestrian traffic along the pathway will be maintained, but could be detoured via alternate routes. Pedestrians are advised to follow these posted routes. The anticipated open to traffic date is November 12. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and to allow themselves additional time to reach their destinations.
