Communities First, Inc. to host Healthy You 2024

Free community event to include professional, educational and holistic health resources

Flint, MI – Communities First, Inc., a local nonprofit, invites community members to attend a free event focused on building health and wealth. Healthy You, a resource fair, will occur on Saturday, February 11 at the Community Enrichment Center (formerly Christ Enrichment Center) located at 322 E. Hamilton St. Flint, MI 48505. The event is from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Healthy You 2024 is a Show Me the Money Day event. Hosted in partnership with CEDAM, Show Me the Money Day kicks off tax season and promotes access to free financial resources, affordable financial products and services and financial education classes.

“Healthy You 2024 is an opportunity for those in our community to gather at one location and address many concerns that affect our everyday lives,” says Ashley Strozier, family mobility coordinator at Communities First, Inc.

Stozier added: “It can sometimes be a difficult task to get the help you are looking for because it requires multiple trips to different locations. This event is here to help those who need support with mental, physical, emotional and financial health. I am looking forward to this event opening the doors of opportunities for our neighboring families to be more successful in 2024.”

This collaborative event will bring together like-minded organizations and professionals who are passionate about helping community members succeed in 2024.  Attendees can connect with professionals and gain knowledge and resources about taxes, finances, and physical and mental health, including the Crim Fitness Foundation for a fitness demo, The Center for Civil Justice to discuss Medicaid renewal, and more.

“We are proud to offer this buffet of resources for the community that is inclusive,” said Glenn Wilson, president and CEO of Communities First, Inc.

Wilson added: “There’s something for everyone, including food and prizes, as well as opportunities to connect with professionals. Providing these resources to the community helps empower them, which is another step in achieving our motto of empowering people and building communities.”

Participant registration is encouraged to be eligible for prizes. To register visit tinyurl.com/CFIHealthyYou2024.
