Bishop Urundi B. Knox is celebrating 25 years of service as Senior Pastor of Ebenezer Ministries in Burton, Mich. Bishop Knox is recognized as a millennial pastor and visionary leader who has implemented many innovative programs and services to benefit members and residents of Flint and Genesee County. More than 200 Ebenezer members and friends attended a gala held in his honor at Petruzzello’s Banquet Hall in Troy, Michigan on Saturday, Sept. 21.
Keynote speaker Lawrence E. Moon, founder of Moon Home for Funerals, gave accolades to Bishop Knox for his dedicated service to the ministry and Flint community. Moon cited him as a valued and long-time friend.
Flint Mayor Karen Weaver presented Knox with a key to the City of Flint and designated Saturday, Sept. 21 and Sunday, Sept. 22 as Urundi B. Knox Day and Ebenezer Ministries Day, respectively.
Ebenezer Ministries, formerly known as Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, was founded fifty years ago by the late Senior Pastor Clarence Knox, father of Bishop Knox.
