Genesee County residents have the opportunity to obtain free COVID-19 testing from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25. Testing will take place at Macedonia Missionary Baptist
Church. This pop-up testing site was made possible through a collaboration between the health department, the state of Michigan, and the National Guard.
Testing will not require an appointment or doctor’s note and is completely free. Residents of all ages can
be tested at this pop-up site.
Residents are asked to enter the church parking lot through the one-way entrance driveway off of
North Saginaw Street. Health department staff will be on site for check-in and further direction. If possible,
residents are asked to fill out the registration form ahead of arrival at the testing site. The registration form
can be accessed at www.gchd.us/covid19testing and will also be available on-site. Testing will be
performed by the National Guard or by qualified health department staff, and results should be available in
about 2-10 days.
Residents are reminded to take precautions after being tested, whether or not they are experiencing
symptoms:
– Limit interaction with others
– Wear a mask or cloth face covering
– Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects often
– Wash hands often
– Cover coughs and sneezes with tissue or elbow
– Rest and stay hydrated
