Genesee ISD Announces Open House at Genesee Career Institute

A Career and Technical Education Event for Students, Parents, and Business Owners

FLINT – Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) recently announced an Open House hosted by the Genesee Career Institute. Genesee County 10th – 12th grade students, parents, and local business owners are invited to get a firsthand look at the premier Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs available in Genesee County.

Date:               Thursday, February 27, 2025

Time:              3:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Location:        Genesee Career Institute

                        5081 N. Torrey Road, Flint, MI 48507

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet teachers and student leaders, explore over 21 high-wage, high-demand career pathways, and learn about the Genesee County CTE Early Middle College partnership with Mott Community College and the University of Michigan-Flint. This partnership allows students to earn college credits towards an associate degree, while gaining career skills.

Local business owners are also encouraged to visit and explore the cutting-edge equipment and hands-on training that is shaping the future workforce.
