Voters Elect State Rep. Sheldon Neeley as Next Mayor of Flint

State Representative Sheldon Neeley defeated incumbent Mayor Karen Weaver in the Tuesday, Nov. 5 general election. According to election results published by the Genesee County Clerk’s Office, Neeley received 7,082 votes.  Weaver received 6,877 votes.

Weaver was elected in 2015 and survived a recall attempt in November 2017.

Neeley previously sat on the Flint City Council and is completing his third term as state representative in Lansing. He is unable to seek re-election to the Michigan House due to term limits.
