In 2011, while living in a shelter, Kimberly Frye created a Facebook group called Praying Mothers Avail. The group, now called Praying Mothers Praying Families Avail, is a group dedicated to praying for and supporting struggling families. This desire to support families through scripture and prayer has only increased for Frye, who recently released an inspirational self-help book called “Keys of a Praying Mother.”

“Writing is something that I’ve done for a long time,” Frye said. “Writing is healing and therapeutic”

It’s a habit that she picked up while raising her four children.

“When my kids were teenagers I would write,” said Frye. “I also wrote when I was going through my divorce. I wrote for strength.”

Strength is something that she hopes readers get when they read her book. The book is purposely broken down into sections about keys.

According to Frye, “keys give you access.”

The headers in the book are titled The Key of Salvation, Sing in the Key of No, The Bloody Key and Tough Love is the Key.

Frye said the book is not just for mothers. It’s for anyone connected to children including parents, grandparents, teachers and others.

“Kids today are hurting, and this book gives the adults in their lives tools. They need hope, they need God.”

“Keys of a Praying Mother” can be purchased on amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com.
