Virtual public hearing offers opportunity to evaluate the effectiveness of Genesee County Community Development Program, comment on the proposed list of projects for the 2021 Annual Action Plan

For the Residents of Genesee County living outside of the city of Flint:

A virtual public hearing will be held December 2, 2020 at 9:45 a.m. during the Community and Economic Development Committee Meeting in the Willard P. Harris Auditorium, Genesee County Administration Building which can be accessed through their website at:
http://geneseecountymi.iqm2.com/Citizens/default.aspx

This meeting is an opportunity for you to evaluate the effectiveness of the Genesee County Community Development Program. Individual citizens and representatives from neighborhood associations, community groups and nonprofit organizations are urged to attend, discuss community development needs and suggest future projects that will improve your neighborhood. This is also an opportunity to comment on the proposed list of projects for the 2021 Annual Action Plan. This meeting is being conducted by the Genesee County Board of Commissioners in compliance with provisions of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. The 2021 Community Development Project List can be found at:

The public may send public comments by email to: publiccomment@co.genesee.mi.us. In order to speak by telephone, please sign up no later than December 2, 2020 at 8 a.m. by doing the following:

• Call (810) 257-3020;
• Leave name, spelling of name and telephone number on voicemail;
• Each participant will be called to join the meeting to speak;
• Staff will call the speaker during the meeting and they will be allowed 2 minutes to speak. At the end of
two minutes, the line will be disconnected.
• After the telephonic speakers are finished, emailed public comments will be read by staff.

Genesee County will furnish reasonable auxiliary aids to disabled or non-English speaking residents upon 48 hours’ notice. Those requesting such services should contact Sheila Taylor, division manager, by phone at (810) 257-3010 (hearing impaired dial 711 for the Michigan Relay Center), or at Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission, 1101 Beach Street, Room 111, Flint, Michigan 48502.
