The “New” McCree Theatre is hosting its first annual Virtual Youth Art Explosion Series, 2021.

The venture is part of the theatre’s efforts to continue offering quality entertainment and services to audience participants during the pandemic. This virtual arts explosion is open to all elementary, intermediate and high schools students in Genesee County, including Youth Quest, Job Corps and Boys & Girls Clubs, homeschoolers and community members at large.

The Art Explosion Series will feature various genres of arts; painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, spoken word, step, dance and music by very talented artist in Genesee County. There is no cost to enter.

To register, submit your name, the name of your school, age and phone number via email to admin@mccreetheatre.com to receive your registration package with details, rules and regulations.

Submissions must be received via email no later than 5 p.m. on March 16, 2021.

All acceptable submissions will be compiled into a video production. All participates will receive a certificate of recognition, a T-Shirt and a CD or flash drive of the final event. The first ten people to register will receive an early bird gift card.

The public will be able to view the visual arts Facebook Debut on March 27, 2021, and then join the theatre for the poetry presentations April 24, 2021.
