Voting to approve an $8,600,000 allocation of American Rescue Plan Act funding toward water bill credits has been delayed a second time. The allocation would allow for a $300 credit per residential account, the equivalent of three months of the average water bill.
The resolution was initially placed in front of the Flint City Council on June 14 during the presentation of the administration’s ARPA plan.
City Council recently tabled the resolution and is expected to discuss it again at their meeting scheduled the first week of August.
Some of those in attendance at the July 20 meeting also expressed urgency in approving the matter and some called for more.
