Recent house fire in Flint being investigated as an arson

A home on Garland St. in Flint that burst into flames shortly before 1:30 p.m. on June 2 is being investigated as an arson.

The fire, which began on the front porch, caused severe damage.

The home was being rented out at the time, but the occupants of the home were not around when the fire broke out.

A neighbor also rescued two dogs while the house was on fire, according to The Flint Fire Department.

Fortunately, no one was injured.
