Prosecutor Leyton comments on pending parole of Corrine Baker

FLINT – In response to recent news reports about the pending parole of Corrine Baker who was
convicted of second degree murder in the 2010 death of her four-year-old son, Dominick
Calhoun, Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton issued this statement:

“The circumstances surrounding the death of four-year-old Dominick Calhoun in 2010 were
unimaginable and horrific. His mother, Corrine Baker, and her then-boyfriend, Brandon Hayes,
were both prosecuted, convicted and sentenced to prison with Hayes receiving a sentence of
life without parole. News reports are the first we’ve heard of the pending parole of Corrine
Baker and we will be looking into it.”
