MCC Special Board meeting to select interim president

WHAT: MCC Board of Trustees Special Meeting – open to the public

WHY: Interim President interviews

WHEN: Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 1 – 4 p.m.

WHERE: The MCC Regional Technology Center auditorium on the main campus in Flint

The Mott Community College Board of Trustees will hold interviews for Interim President candidates on July 11, 2024 starting at 1 p.m. in the Regional Technology Center Auditorium, Room 1005, located on the College’s main campus.

The Interview Format is as follows:

  • Candidate arrives 30 minutes prior to interview time;

  • Chairperson welcomes candidate and requests the Board members to introduce themselves

  • Chairperson explains the format of the interview

  • 14 questions, 5 minutes each question

  • Board members ask questions

  • All candidates are asked the same questions

  • At the end of the interview, the candidate may ask 1-2 questions based on the remaining time

  • Short recess between each interview

  • After final interview, Board discusses all candidate’s strengths and/or concerns

  • Candidate selection

Members of the public are invited and encouraged to attend in-person. Members of the public can also view the meeting via Youtube livestream at https://youtube.com/live/vy6Lbmqlr48?feature=share

Those wishing to provide public comment during the meeting may submit the following form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdFleTtcO0-D3nbJ2vYkHJbv8yOGP2eJwW0o-ORcLixdfGIzw/viewform by noon on July 11, 2024. Commenters will also have the option of having their written comments read on their behalf. Paper copies of the form are available for those attending in-person and must be submitted to the President’s Office staff prior to the beginning of the meeting.

The Board may also move to proceed in Executive (Closed) Session to discuss matters allowed pursuant to the Michigan Open Meetings Act (OMA).
