FLINT, Mich. (Nov. 22, 2022) – Tuesday, local McDonald’s owner/operators were joined by community leaders for their annual Turkey Giveaway. Two hundred fifty turkeys were passed out to families who have students who attend Richfield Early Learning Center in Flint. This event is part of an effort across the state that started last week in which more than 1,500 turkeys are being donated. In each location, local McDonald’s franchisees worked with groups including schools, churches and organizations on the distribution process.
In Flint, members of the Flint Branch NAACP were on hand to assist in the passing out of turkeys. McDonald’s representatives say they look forward to this event every year.
“We are blessed to be part of neighborhoods all around Flint,” said Rob Spangler, local McDonald’s owner/operator.
“Our local owner/operators are honored to show our thanks and offer our support to these hard-working families as part of our commitment to Flint,” Spangler added.
Earlier on Tuesday, a separate turkey distribution was held in Saginaw. One hundred fifty turkeys were handed out at the McDonald’s restaurant at 1454 N. Michigan Ave. For this event, McDonald’s was joined by Saginaw Mayor Brenda Moore and AHSRAT, a local non-profit organization that provides free services and programs to at-risk youth and adults.
