Kids in need receive free computers at Boys & Girls Club of Flint

Starting at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 29,  The Boys & Girls Club of Flint, located at 3701 North Averill Avenue, will be distributing nearly 100 Chromebook laptops provided by New York City-based organization, The Loyalty Foundation, to children in need.

The Boys & Girls club will also be distributing food and other basic life necessities.

The Chromebooks were made possible through The Loyalty Foundation’s Devices4All® program, thanks to a donation by marketplace giant Etsy.

“We want kids and parents to understand the self-empowerment that access to technology and digital education can unlock for them,” says The Loyalty Foundation founder, David Neeman.

“It can not only lead to steady employment and well-paying jobs that will uplift themselves and their families, but it allows kids to think creatively, because they know they now have a real path to becoming the next entrepreneur, video producer, game creator or whatever they dream of being,” Neeman added.
