FLINT, MI – A Multi-Employer Job Fair is being hosted by GST MI Works! from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m., on Tuesday, June 21, at 711 North Saginaw St., in Flint. Job seekers that arrive before 1 p.m. will have their resumes reviewed and will have a chance to prepare for on-the-spot interviews. “GST Michigan Works! Business Services Department works diligently to assist all our local employers,” said Business Services Manager Cindy Thornthwaite. “Our services include helping local employers with their hiring needs, upskilling and retaining their most valuable resource, and their current workforce,” Thornthwaite added. “With the current labor shortage affecting everyone respectfully, we are taking various actions to ‘think outside the box’ to help locate available talent. One of the ways is by hosting multi-employer job fairs at our Flint Service Center. We offer job seekers various employers to choose from when they attend. Employers who will be in attendance range from multiple sectors, including healthcare, customer service, education, manufacturing, transportation and many other occupations.” Job seekers can feel secure in the support received by the GST MI Works Business Services and their career coaches, who are on standby waiting to assist them with their next career path. Job seekers are encouraged to attend this job fair and take advantage of the opportunities that are being offered. Career coaches are ready to help with resume building and mock interviews. They also have resources to help alleviate barriers, such as transportation and childcare. “Job seekers will find multiple employers to connect with to determine their best option,” said Thornthwaite. “The employers in attendance will allow job seekers the opportunity to secure lifelong careers instead of just a job.
