Grand Blanc Dog Park celebrates 10th anniversary with paws-itively spooky Howl-oween Bash Fun

Annual Howl-oween contest held in conjunction with celebration

(Grand Blanc, Mich.)  – Get ready for a tail-wagging, paw-some celebration as the Grand Blanc Dog Park turns 10! Everyone is invited to join the fun on Sunday, October 20 (due to expected bad weather on Sunday, October 13) for a day filled with fun, festivities and furry friends. This year’s event will coincide with the 14th Annual Howl-oween Costume Contest, promising double the fun and excitement!

The Howl-oween contest has a new location this year at the North Pavilion near the soccer fields at Creasey Bicentennial Park. Registration and photos begin at 1 p.m. with the 10th anniversary festivities starting at 1:30 p.m. The park is located at 1505 E. Grand Blanc Rd., Grand Blanc, MI 48439. The contests will commence at 2 p.m.

Whether your pup is a seasoned costume pro or new to the contest, this event guarantees a howl-ing good time. With the  most costume categories in the region , there’s something for every dog, from the tiniest puppy to the most senior canine.

Costume Categories Include :

– Puppy

– Senior Dog

– Kid/Dog Combo

– Most Creative

– Homemade

– Owner/Dog Combo

– People’s Choice

– Best Overall Costume

Every dog will receive a special treat bag just for attending, and winners in all categories will receive ribbons and certificates. The  People’s Choice Award and Best Overall Costume  winners will also take home a special prize.

There will be no entry fees this year due to generous donors including Grand Blanc Township Supervisor Scott Bennett, Grand Blanc Township Clerk David Robertson and Grand Blanc City Councilman Chris Douglas. Donations for park repairs will be accepted, and you can even cast your vote on the projects you’d like to see funded.

Professional photos will be available at no cost for everyone in attendance. Photos will be done by Kara Pattison Photography and are sponsored by State Representative David Martin.

Don’t forget to bring along donations of dog or cat food to support local animal groups in need.

Come celebrate  10 incredible years of Grand Blanc Dog Park —a community space where both dogs and their humans have shared hours of fun together.
