GENESEE COUNTY, MI – Genesee Health System (GHS) will help kick off summer with a Community Block Party on Thursday, June 25, from 4 – 7:30 p.m. at the GHS Main Campus, 1040 W. Bristol Rd., Flint 48507.
This GHS Block Party is designed to create a safe and interactive environment for Genesee County families, while highlighting the critical connection between mental and physical wellness. Community-driven events can actively reduce isolation, stress and loneliness by fostering authentic connections.
“The daily work GHS does to create supportive mental and physical health spaces must directly respond to our community’s needs. We want events like this to become natural icebreakers for anyone seeking help,” said Danis Russell, GHS Chief Executive Officer. “A neighborhood gathering can boost mental well-being and drive social inclusion while expanding our reach to connect families with vital wellness resources.”
The GHS Block Party includes a DJ, kid-friendly games, Touch-A-Truck and car show, inflatable games, a petting zoo and reptile display, balloon artists, and airbrushing with food provided by Smoke-n-Gates BBQ, Bellas, MexiCrunch, Kona Ice, and Hav a Bar.
