GENESEE COUNTY, MI—Genesee Health System (GHS) is moving to 1040 West Bristol Road, Flint, and opens its doors on Monday, May 20, with Friday, May 17 being GHS’s last day at its former location at 420 West Fifth Avenue Friday.
The initial move announcement in June 2023 included the need to evaluate and evolve how GHS works with individuals and the entire community. The new main campus will house all staff and services currently at 420 West Fifth Avenue. Staff and services at the Center for Children’s Integrated Services (CCIS) located at 1402 South Saginaw Street, Flint, Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) at 422 West 4th Avenue, Flint, and the Genesee Community Health Center at 725 Mason Street, Flint will remain.
“We are still here for our community when they need us,” said Jennifer McCarty, GHS Chief Operating Officer. “We just ask that you ‘pardon our dust’ as we complete this move on Friday and Monday. We are so excited to be in our new building and offer our community more quality services and programming.”
Individuals who wish to begin services are encouraged to call GHS on Friday, May 17, and Monday, May 20, as walk-in availability will be limited due to the move. People can call 810-257-3705, Monday through Friday, to talk to a Customer Services Representative.
Those individuals already in services will hear from their care provider about the date and location of their next service.
Some areas of the building are still under construction, but an open house for the community is planned for early August 2024.
GHS is always available to help. The GHS Crisis Line is available 24/7; call 810-257-3740. The Behavioral Health Urgent Care and Mobile Crisis Team are available 24/7; call 810-496-5500.
