Flint Farmer’s Market Named One of Top 20 Public Markets in America, In Running For Top 10

The Flint Farmers’ Market was again been nominated as one of the premiere public markets in America! According to USA Today, the Flint Farmers’ Market was selected as one of 20 top public markets in the country. From this list the public is able to choose the top 10 and the Flint Farmers’ Market is now in contention for becoming one of the USA Today Top 10 Best Public Markets in America.

The Flint Farmers’ Market has a rich history dating back to the early 1900s. Today it is situated in the heart of downtown Flint with more than 45 vendors indoor year-round and another 45 outside from May to October in the HAP pavilion. Additionally, it houses the ELGA Credit Union Demonstration Kitchen, two incubator-entrepreneurial kitchens through the Flint Food Works Program and multiple event spaces that are utilized for both public and private events.

“Winning this competition would be a huge feather in our cap and a big win for the greater-Flint community. The other markets nominated are from some of our country’s most popular tourist destinations and it is truly an honor to be in the running alongside them,” said Karianne Martus, market manager.

Voters can do so once per day until voting ends at noon ET on Monday, April 12. The top 10 winners, determined by your vote, will be announced on Friday, April 23. To vote go to https://www.10best.com/awards/travel/best-public-market/.
