After months of anticipation, the latest era of professional basketball is set to begin on April 16 presented by Shea Automotive, as the team presenting sponsor.

The 12 home game schedule include regional opponents Indy Express, Detroit Hustle, Owensboro Thoroughbreds, Columbus Condors, Dayton Flight, Kokomo Bobcats, and out-of-conference opponent, the California Sea Kings.

Ticket details will be released in the coming days.

Training Camp Roster

Beginning on Friday, April 19 and ending on Sunday, April 21, 18 athletes will be vying for 12 spots on the inaugural Flint United roster. Camp will be held at New Standard Academy.

Notable names from the Flint-area include Lance Adams who prepped at International Academy of Flint, Reggie Reed from Beecher, Ja’quin Jones of Carman-Ainsworth and Ja/Myrin Jackson by way of Lansing Everett.

The other 14 athletes span the state and country including Illinois, California, Pennsylvania, New York, Detroit and Southfield.

“We’re excited about (training) camp and getting started,” said Head Coach Charlie Bell.

“We have a lot of great players and I know the fans will enjoy all the talent we’re bringing to the city,” Bell added. “Only hard part will be that we can’t keep everyone even though we wish we could. We have way too much talent to choose from which is also a good thing. I know camp will be competitive and the players can’t wait to get started..”
