This event is part of the Sorority’s EMBODI (Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence) program, which focuses on empowering African American males. Young men will receive needed tools and resources to succeed through interactive programming and roundtable discussions while enjoying a gaming truck.

“We understand the value in supporting our youth by providing them a space to learn and be encouraged while providing an opportunity for mentorship,” said Tamar Swain, president of the Flint Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Swain added: “Our goal to address the unique challenges and opportunities for young men and discuss pathways to achieve success.”
