City of Flint to host Free Property Tax Foreclosure Clinic

Flint, MI – The City of Flint, in collaboration withLegal Services of Eastern Michigan and 1st Ward Councilman Leon El-Alamin, is offering a free Property Tax Foreclosure Clinic to assist residents in understanding their rights and exploring options to avoid foreclosure.

The event will take place on:

Friday, March 7, 2025
1 – 6 p.m., at the City of Flint Service Center, 4805 Clio Road, Flint, MI

This clinic will provide free legal advice and resources for homeowners at risk of foreclosure due to unpaid property taxes. Attendees will have the opportunity to consult with legal experts who will help them navigate their options, address concerns, and take action to protect their homes.

Residents are encouraged to pre-register by calling Attorney Horne at (810) 377-6033 as spaces are limited. Walk-ins will be accepted based on time and capacity.

Please note: Per Legal Services of Eastern Michigan policy, landlords are not eligible to participate in this clinic.

“Homeownership is the foundation of stable communities, and we want to ensure that residents have access to legal guidance and resources to help them stay in their homes,” said Councilman Leon El-Alamin.

This initiative is part of the ongoing commitment by the City of Flint and Legal Services of Eastern Michigan to provide support for homeowners facing economic hardships.
