Families are encouraged to enjoy a safe and fun Halloween by participating in local neighborhood activities and community-sponsored Trunk-or-Treat events during these designated hours.
To ensure a safe celebration, the City of Flint will deploy extra police presence and maintain a heightened alert on Angels’ Night (October 30) and Halloween (October 31). Residents are encouraged to dial 911 in case of emergencies or suspicious activity.
The City also reminds residents to take extra precautions while celebrating:
- Drivers should be alert for children crossing streets and walking through neighborhoods.
- Parents and guardians are encouraged to accompany younger children and check all treats before consumption.
- Trick-or-treaters should wear bright or reflective clothing and carry flashlights for visibility.
“Safety is our top priority,” said Sheldon Neeley, Mayor of Flint. “We want all our families to enjoy Halloween together, have fun, and celebrate responsibly.”
In addition to neighborhood festivities, the City invites families to attend Harvest Fest 2025 on Friday, October 31 from 5–7 PM at the City Hall Back Lawn (1101 S. Saginaw St.). This free event will feature candy giveaways, free food, a spooky kids movie, bounce houses, and more—providing a safe and festive way to celebrate Halloween.
