As of 3 p.m. May 8, there were 46,326 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Michigan and 4,393 deaths statewide. In
Genesee County alone there were 1,739 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 214 deaths countywide. Fortunately, there were also 15,659 recovered as of May 1.
As the number of COVID-19 testing sites increases in Genesee County, the Flint Courier News is seeking to give our readers the most up to date information on where they can be tested for the virus.
Those with emergency medical signs should seek medical attention immediately. The signs may include trouble breathing, pain or pressure in the chest, confusion or inability to arouse or bluish lips or face. Consult a healthcare provider about any other symptoms that are concerning or severe. If symptoms progress, please call a healthcare provider. In the event of an emergency, dial 9-1-1.
Rite-Aid Pharmacy offers COVID-19 testing at its Swartz Creek location, at 9090 Miller Road
Swartz Creek, MI 48473. Testing is available Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m.-5 p.m., by appointment only. Starting May 11, testing will be available Monday-Friday 10 am.-8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m.-5 p.m., by appointment only at the 5018 Clio Road location in Flint, in the 48504 zip code. To make an appointment for testing at Rite-Aid, visit www.riteaid.com and click on the real COVID-19 banner to complete the screening and make an appointment. The screening is being conducted through the drive-thru pharmacy.
Grand Blanc High School offers COVID-19 provided by Kroger Health. Testing will be conducted in the school parking lot. Visit https://www.thelittleclinic.com/drivethru-testing to complete the screening and schedule an appointment. Testing is available Monday-Thursday 10 a.m.-4 p.m., by appointment only. Grand Blanc High School is located at 12500 Holly Road, Grand Blanc, MI 48439. Northpointe Clinic is located at 5710 Clio Road Flint, MI 48504. The Burton Clinic is located at 3375 S. Saginaw St. Flint, MI 48529.
Michigan Health Specialists has testing appointments available Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., by appointment only. Their first location is at 2065 S. Center Road, Burton, MI 48519. The other location is at 2700 Robert T. Longway Flint, MI 48503. Call 810-235-2004 for an appointment.
