Argument at local liquor store leads to shooting

A shooting took place at Carpenter Road Liquor May 15. Because of limited access to the store, a customer got into a verbal argument with the store’s security guard.

As the argument escalated, the male victim hit the security guard multiple times. The victim attempted to strike the security guard again. So, the security guard to fired a bullet to the ground.

The round is believed to have ricocheted off the ground striking the customer’s ankle.

Flint Police fled to the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital and placed in good condition.
The investigation will continue.
