53rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration Community Healing Circle Sponsored by CRIM

On Monday, June 9th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, community members of all ages and identities are invited to gather at the Martin Luther King Jr. Peace Garden (King Ave. & McClellan)commemorating 160 years of Black liberation. This year’s event will be a sacred circle facilitated by Dr. Tiffany Quinn, social worker and Juneteenth Committee member.

The evening centers on healing, resilience and ancestral honor through a powerful, multi-generational community gathering inspired by the enduring legacy of Dr. E. DeLoney.

The evening will include:
• Mindfulness
• Story-sharing & ancestral remembrance
• Music, joy & activities

“This is more than a celebration; it’s a sacred circle where we breathe, connect, and restore—together,” said Mindfulness Coordinator Ka’Sella Matière . “It’s a space to honor our past, stand in our truth, and carry the spirit of liberation forward.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair and join in this community connection, reflection and celebration.
