20-year-old adult foster care resident goes missing

After a 20-year-old woman who may be suicidal went missing from an AFC (adult foster care) home recently, the Burton Police are asking for the public’s help to find her.

Monica Latrise Griffin was last seen on North Belsay Road and Brookwood Drive and is said to have said to possibly be suicidal. She has has life-threatening medical issues that require medication, which she did not have with her when she left the home.

According to police, Griffin has long, braided hair and a birth mark on her right arm. Police also said she may be wearing a red sweatshirt with white lettering with black and gray sweatpants.

Anyone with information on where Griffin may be location is asked to call 911, or the city of Burton Police Department at 810-742-2542.
