76-year old missing woman with Alzheimer’s found in abandoned home

A 76-year-old woman with Alzheimer’s has wandered away from home on the 4th of July. Police gave her description and asked the public to call 911 immediately if they saw her.

She was being 5’5” and weighing 100 lbs. She was said to have been wearing a gray zip-up sweatshirt, gray pants and white slippers when last seen leaving her home in the 1000 block of Genesee Rd.

Additionally, Genesee Twp. Police said it was possible the woman would ask for assistance to travel to Florida, and could act confused or become combative if approached.

As of Friday, July 5, the woman: Brenda Elaine Etherington, was found in an abandoned home within the city of Flint.
