Michigan State University College of Human Medicine PPHI awarded two full-time Flint Urban Safety and Health Corps AmeriCorps members

The Michigan State University College of Human Medicine Pediatric Public Health Initiative(PPHI) has been awarded two full-time Flint Urban Safety and Health Corps AmeriCorps members for 2021-2022!

The PPHI position description is attached. Members will serve 37 hours per week (1700 hours a year), October 4, 2021 – October 3, 2022.

Member Benefits:

  • Living Allowance (distributed in biweekly increments throughout the term)
  •       *1700-hour members: $15,100
  • Education Award (awarded upon successful completion of AmeriCorps term to be used for college and trade school)
  •      *1700-hour members: $6,345
  • Additional Benefits available to full-time members (Health Insurance and Childcare Assistance)
  • Student Loan Forbearance and Interest Payments for qualifying members
  • Professional Development
  • AmeriCorps Alumni Network
