Food giveaway Aug. 12 being presented by Hamilton Community Health Network

Hamilton Community Health Network is participating in National Health Center Week on August 10 -14.  This year’s local events will include Healthcare for the Homeless Day, Patient Appreciation Day and Healthcare Heroes Day.  Wednesday, August 12 will be Patient Appreciation Day, when Hamilton will be providing a food giveaway.

Hamilton will be celebrating Patient Appreciation Day by giving out boxes of produce to those in need within our community, along with their patient base. The prepared food boxes come from their community partner at Flint Fresh.

The giveaway takes place from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., or until the food is depleted-whichever comes first.

Each year, National Health Center Week not only celebrates the work and accomplishments of the valuable healthcare workers across the country, but national committees identify topics throughout the week for opportunities to serve. Hamilton Community Health Network has dedicated its efforts to community service and civic engagement during this year’s National Health Center Week and will be participating through a couple of different community activities benefiting the homeless and their patient base.

The food giveaway takes place at Hamilton’s main clinic, at 2900 N. Saginaw St.
