The Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village (SBEV) is hosting a community forum for its upcoming Flint Sports Complex from 3:30-5 p.m. August 13. Partnering with the Legacy Center Sports Complex and the LEAD Foundation, SBEV invites the community to learn about the new project build, with partial funding from Detroit Lions/NFL Grassroots Foundation.
Complimentary fruits, veggies, and tacos will be provided by Flint Fresh Food Hub and Cosmic Burrito food truck. SBEV is also holding a raffle to win a flat-screen TV, and the winner will be announced at the event’s end. In addition, attendees will have the chance to register for the upcoming fall after-school programming and respond to the 2020 census.
The event will be live-streamed on the SBEV Facebook page for those unable to attend. SBEV asks that attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing during the event.
The Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village is located at 4119 N. Saginaw St.
