FLINT, Mich. — Voices for Children brought together 17 local fire and police chiefs, area restaurants, community leaders and supporters Thursday, October 1, for its inaugural Cooking with the Chiefs event at the Mott Community College Event Center.
The evening featured chiefs paired with local restaurants to create unique dishes for guests to sample, along with live music, a silent auction, a Gift Card Wall and plenty of friendly competition. Proceeds from the event support Voices for Children and the free services it provides to children and families throughout Genesee County for children impacted by abuse, neglect and other traumatic experiences.

Proceeds from the event will support Voices for Children’s free services for children and families
impacted by abuse, neglect and other difficult circumstances. Services include forensic interviews, advocacy, therapy, family support, prevention education and Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) services.
Voices for Children extended a heartfelt thank you to Mott Community College, the 17 participating chiefs, participating restaurants, event sponsors, the committee that helped plan the event, volunteers and everyone who came out to enjoy the evening and support children in our community.
