Update for the I-69 Project in Flint

FLINT, MI-The Michigan Department of Transportation  will be moving I-69 traffic back to normal lanes of eastbound between I-475 and the east end of the project.  To do this they will take eastbound down to one lane and close the off ramp to Saginaw St. and the ramps from northbound and southbound I-475 to eastbound I-69.  This work will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday, December 2. These ramps will be back open by 3 p.m.

On Saturday, they will open up eastbound I-69 for the entire section and have traffic back in their normal lanes and all of the ramps to and from eastbound I-69 open.  To complete this work, they may also need to close some of the ramps and take I-69 down to one lane.

For westbound, it’s now open from about Saginaw Street west.  They do have the speed still reduced as they finish up the work at the crossover on the far west end.  They will still need to have a lane closed around I-475 for a few more weeks to wrap up bridge work on I-69 over I-475.  This will also have a lane closed on northbound I-475 until this work is completed.

Fenton Road under I-69 still has some bridge work going on over it and will have lanes closed while they finish up that work for this year.

Motorists are advised to seek another route.  Please contact Keith Brown, MDOT Davison TSC, at (810) 653-7470 if you have questions.

Please slow down in work zones, for your family and ours.
