The Friends of the Flint Public Library to host fall used book sale

Flint, Michigan—The Friends of the Flint Public Library will host a fall used book sale.

Special Preview sale for members of “Friends” only:

Thursday, Oct. 17, 11:30 a.m. -2 p.m.

Open to the public:

Thursday, Oct. 17, 2 – 7 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 18, 12 – 5 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 19, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (All day, $5.00 per bag)

Attendees can choose from a great variety of books and DVDs. The broad selection includes children’s books, cookbooks, fiction, non-fiction and more.  This year The Friends have received a large number of military histories, Scientology manuals, and vinyl albums. Hardcover books cost $1 and paperback books cost $.50. The Friends accept credit cards as well as cash and checks.

Buying books at this book sale is a great way to support your public library.  All proceeds help to expand the services and programs of the library.  Another way to support the library is to join the Friends of the Flint Public Library.  You can do that when you come to the sale.

The Friends of the Flint Public Library is a 501c3 non-profit group organized to advance literacy and life-long learning through fund-raising that directly benefits library services and programs.  Members help by their membership fees, but also by dedicating volunteer hours to fund-raising activities.  If you want to learn more about our volunteer activities, call Julie Boylan at 517-740-2306.
