Flint non-profit organization, Well of Hope was unable to host its annual “Blessed to be a Blessing” Thanksgiving dinner due to Covid-19. They have teamed up with their partners at Catholic Charities to provide “A Spring of Love” a taco luncheon that is aimed to bring a ray of hope and love to neighbors in need. It will take place from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on April 9 at the Center for Hope, located at 812 Root St. in Flint.
“Well of Hope believes that need has no season and though we had to cancel Blessed to be a Blessing, we are honored to serve this spring,” Chia Morgan, the program coordinator said.
“We get an opportunity to bring a take-out food service to those who would not ordinarily have it, so it all works out and we are honored to serve,” Morgan added.
Tacos will be prepared by the Yum Vittles, LLC. food truck and cookies will be courtesy of We’re Dough. Masks are required and social distancing will be in effect. The event is made possible by sponsorships from Community Foundation of Greater Flint, ELGA Credit Union, Robert & Sharonna Owens and Alvern & Theresa Lock.
