REMINDER: League of Women Voters (LWV) – Flint, Mott Community College’s Black Professional Alliance (BPA) and Enlighten &  Ignite team up to offer voter-education workshops

(FLINT, Mich., Sept. 16, 2024) – The Flint Area League of Women Voters is partnering with Mott Community College’s (MCC) Black Professional Alliance (BPA) and the Enlighten & Ignite Committee to host a series of informational Workshops to help people make informed voting decisions.

The final two workshops are:
The Importance of Local Elections
Wednesday, Sept. 18, from 6 – 7:30 p.m.
Gloria Coles Public Library, Harris Room
with speakers Delrico Lloyd Commissions, First District, Genesee County Commission and Janet Watz, [resident, Flint Area League of Women Voters
Meet & Greet: MCC Board of Trustee Candidates
October 24, from 6 – 8 p.m.
Gloria Coles Flint Public Library-Friends Room

The Flint Area League of Women Voters, a non-partisan, grassroots organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. The vision of the Flint Area LWV is to empower citizens to participate in the improvement of their communities.

Black Professional Alliance (BPA) at Mott Community College is an Affinity Group, organized to provide support and networking opportunities for Black employees at Mott Community College. BPA is part of MCC’s commitment to fostering Employee Success.
