LANSING, Mich. – Governor Gretchen Whitmer will deliver the 2022 State of the State address at 7 p.m., on Wednesday, January 26. The speech will be broadcast live throughout the state on multiple viewing platforms.
“The State of the State address will stay focused on the things that unite us,” Whitmer said. “I’ll speak to the progress we’ve made together, the opportunity we have right now and why we all believe in Michigan.”

The address follows the governor’s pre-State of the State tour where she sat down with Michiganders in their hometowns across the state to discuss policy, priorities, areas to address and more.
During her 2022 State of the State address, Governor Whitmer will share her comprehensive vision for Michigan and lay out policy proposals to put Michiganders first. She will speak to the progress we’ve made together and the kitchen-table issues that matter most to working families.
