Players Alliance “Pull Up Neighbor” Tour to take place Friday Dec. 11

The Players Alliance “Pull Up Neighbor” Tour will be stopping at the Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village (SBEV) building to invest in Black communities and provide aid during the COVID-19 pandemic. Flint residents are encouraged to join the community for this event.

The event starts at 10 a.m. and will last until 12 p.m. or until supplies run out Friday Dec. 11. Flint residents will be provided with COVID supplies, a pop-up pantry and baseball equipment via the Alliance’s Gear For Good program. The pull up destinations will be hosted by MLB players.

No registration or ID is required. SBEV asks that attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing during the event.

SBEV serves as a community hub on Flint’s north side and provides youth programming that includes a number of sports programs, after-school tutoring, youth journalism, dance, theatre, STEM activities and art. SBEV also serves as a meeting space for various community events, organizations and agencies in the Flint area.

Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village is located at 4119 N. Saginaw St, Flint 48505.
