Nine Award Winning Art Students Exhibit at MCC Nov. 3-18
The Mott Community College (MCC) Fine Arts Gallery in the Visual Arts and Design Center will present an exhibition of artwork by nine Art Achievement Award winning MCC students. The exhibition will be in the gallery from Monday, Nov. 3 through Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014. A reception for the artists will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 5 from 3 to 5 p.m. The public is invited.
The event is made possible in part by the Ballenger Trust.
Students Casey Carter (Davison), Rudy Espinoza (Flint), Jacquie Gagne (Flushing), Deborah Gillespie (Flint), Justin Howell (Flint), Katie McWhorter (Holly), Rebecca Miller (Clio), Justin O’Brien (Flint) and Joshua Williamson (Swartz Creek) will be exhibiting works in Graphic Design, Photography and Fine Arts.
The Art Achievement Award winners are identified by the faculty on the basis of outstanding artistic merit and achievement in several art studio, graphic design and photography courses. These students have demonstrated consistent dedication to the quality and scope of their work, including tremendous growth and promise for a successful future.
The Fine Arts Gallery is located in the Visual Arts and Design Center on the Mott Community College main campus in Flint, at 1401 E. Court Street. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Fine Arts Galley is free and open to the public. For more information contact the Art and Design office at 810-762-0443.
