New Limited Run Special Exhibit, Hall of Heroes, Opens May 24 at Sloan Museum of Discovery

Interactive exhibit invites fans of comic book characters and superheroes of all ages to discover their superpowers-

(Flint, MI, May 15, 2025) – Sloan Museum of Discovery in Flint is unmasking its latest interactive special exhibition, Hall of Heroes, on May 24, 2025. This popular traveling exhibition, developed by Stage 9 Exhibits, is enhanced with fun interactive displays on how to “Discover your superpowers.” 

 
Hall of Heroes celebrates and explores both the history of and science behind America’s fascination with superheroes and how they impacted our popular culture throughout the 20th century and beyond. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to explore, learn, and test their heroic abilities at engaging and challenging interactive stations.

Hall of Heroes features several unique and special interactive displays:
• 1966 George Barris Batmobile interactive batcave environment
• Four interactive dioramas covering the decades of heroes in American culture
from comics to radio and beyond
• Unique photo ops
• Challenging interactives that test reaction times and physical abilities
• Keva plank building stations with 1989 Keva Batmobile
• Four thematic areas: Powers of the Body, Gadgets, Elements, and Mastery

Hall of Heroes is in the 6000 square feet FUN Gallery exhibition hall. It will have a limited run at Sloan Museum from May 24-September 7, 2025 and is open during regular Sloan Museum hours Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday Noon-5 p.m. Entry to this special exhibition is a $5/person add-on to General Admission tickets (General Admission is free for residents of Genesee County thanks to the Arts Education & Cultural Enrichment millage). 

 
As a courtesy to real-life superheroes, Sloan Museum is providing free exhibit entry and general admission to police officers, firefighters, EMTs (Emergency Medical Technicians) and paramedics for the entire run of the Hall of Heroes exhibit with proof of photo ID and official work badges; families and friends of the police officers, firefighters, EMTs and paramedics still pay the exhibit $5/person add-on fee and regular general admission ticket prices.
