NATIONAL EXPERT TO LEAD GRANT WRITING WORKSHOP IN BURTON

Integrated Health Network Hosting Bob Vickers From Artful Askers

Area nonprofits and individuals are invited to attend a one-day workshop with one of America’s top fundraising experts, Bob Vickers.  During the workshop, participants will learn how to build relationships with foundations, corporations and individuals.  The event will take place on Thursday, December 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Judson Baptist Church.  The church is located at 4471 E. Atherton Rd., Burton, MI 48519.

Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. for registration and the distribution of materials.  The workshop will begin at 9 a.m.  At noon a pizza lunch will be provided or participants can bring their own lunch.  The workshop will conclude at 4 p.m. and will allow time for networking afterwards.

Registration for the workshop includes a 120-page workbook complete with potential leads, sample proposals and resumes.  Participants will learn about the psychology of giving including the right time to ask for the right things from foundations, corporations or individuals.  It will guide attendees on how to access data to help with grant-writing success.  The workshop will cover everything from making the ask through following-up after receiving funding.  The workshop will be led by Vickers who has trained over 34,000 individuals across the country

The registration fee to attend the event is $75 per organization.  The registration fee allows two people to attend from an organization.  Partial scholarships allowing participants to attend for only $25 are available by emailingintegratedhealthnetworkmi@gmail.com.

Participants must pre-register, but fees are due the day of the workshop.  Registration can be completed through the Eventbrite link on the Integrated Health Network Facebook page.
