MTA Renewal millage support needed to keep special services going

Mass Transportation Authority (MTA)  is asking for the community’s support in August for the MTA Renewal millage.

MTA is offering free rides every Sunday to everyone through YOUR RIDE and the fixed routes all summer. MTA also offers free rides for vets and their spouses, including widows, with Vets to Wellness. In addition, MTA continued YOUR RIDE services, Meals on Wheels, water distribution, lunch deliveries and other services throughout the pandemic.

At the present time, MTA is offering reduced rates for everyone, and accommodates seniors and the disabled.

MTA has over 600 employees, is adding new services, creating more jobs and is hiring now.

MTA would like the public to know they have taken extra precaution to ensure the safety of each passenger.

The MTA renewal millage will keep special services going for the community, and involves no cost increase to voters because it is just a renewal.

For details about MTA, call (810)767-6950.
