Mott Children’s Health Center and University Pediatricians, the pediatric specialists affiliated with DMC Children’s Hospital of Michigan, are pleased to announce an expansion of their
collaboration with the launch of a pediatric lipid clinic within the Mott Children’s Health Center in Flint. The new pediatric lipid clinic joins the existing pediatric cardiology clinic at Mott
and serves as a preventive care program for children with lipid disorders-featuring specialized pediatric testing, innovative lipid management therapies and
Patients are seen by a pediatric lipid specialist and a dietitian. Behavioral modification therapy will be provided as an adjunct to pharmaceutical therapy for lipid disorders. The preventive program will also care for children with high blood pressure and metabolic syndrome and related disorders.
Mott Children’s Health Center provides medical, dental, audiology, rehabilitation and behavioral health services to eligible children in Genesee County. University Pediatricians provides nationally ranked pediatric cardiology care, surgery, research and training at DMC Children’s Hospital of Michigan at a variety of locations throughout Michigan. This collaboration brings pediatric lipid services within a family-friendly facility to Genesee County.

The new pediatric lipid clinic is located within the Mott Children’s Health Center at 806 Tuuri Place, in Flint.
