Missionary Tiffany Quinn gets appointed to MDHHS board

By Tanya Terry

Renowned Social Worker and Life Coach Tiffany Quinn, who holds a Th.D. and an MSW, has been appointed to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Board.

Quinn’s appointment to the MDHHS Board comes as she steps into the seat previously held by Ronda VanRaemdonck, whose last meeting was in October.

Having established a network on Facebook of over 700 social workers, Quinn’s dedication to advocating for underserved populations, particularly children in foster care, individuals with disabilities and low-income families, has been unwavering. Her understanding of the intricacies of organization and navigating complex social issues has made her a vital figure in this field.

Quinn’s impact on the community’s mental health is palpable. As she steps into her role, her focus remains on the well-being of children and vulnerable adults. Quinn aims to advocate for their rights and influence policy decisions that will enhance their lives. Additionally, she intends to gather input from the community, bridging gaps to ensure that voices of those unable to come to the table are heard.

Quinn’s expertise is not limited to her board appointment; she brings a wealth of experience from various boards, including Bountiful Love Ministries, The Scholars Etiquette and Self Image Institute (TSESSI), Mothers of Joy, and Serenity House. With these organizations, she has touched the lives of individuals in need of resources, social support and guidance.

Quinn’s passion for her new role stems from her alignment with the values of social work, including promoting social justice and the well-being of individuals and communities. Quinn recognizes the unmet needs within the community and sees her role on the board as an opportunity to be the voice for these underserved populations. She believes that working collaboratively and cohesively will be key to helping the community heal and recover from trauma.

Tiffany Quinn’s dedication to mental health and her commitment to fostering a supportive community make her a valuable asset to the MDHHS Board and the broader community. Her extensive experience, coupled with her unwavering advocacy for vulnerable populations, ensures that the mental well-being of the community remains a top priority.
