McDonald’s seeking to hire 10,000 statewide through Tues. Nov. 10 event

Through a job at a McDonald’s restaurant, individuals can be part of a team while serving customers in a fun, safe environment while working a schedule that fits their life. Additionally, a crew member at McDonald’s can learn work readiness skills on the job, such as teamwork, customer service and responsibility, and further their education through the Archways To Opportunity program, which offers up to $2,500 a year in tuition assistance.

Every one of the more than 500 McDonald’s restaurants in Michigan will take part in a statewide hiring day on Tuesday, November 10. In total, McDonald’s is looking to add about 10,000 employees across the Great Lakes State.

All Michigan McDonald’s locations will offer immediate on-site interviews between 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on November 10 and all will follow appropriate safety procedures. People can also schedule an interview by texting “apply” to 36453.

McDonald’s is offering part-time and full-time opportunities which include flexible schedules, where crew members can often choose how many days and hours they want to work each week. A job at McDonald’s also offers additional benefits, employee discounts and more.

McDonald’s has implemented nearly 50 new safety procedures to protect crew and customers. These include wellness and temperature checks, social distancing floor stickers, protective barriers at order points and masks and gloves for employees. McDonald’s continues to adhere to a set of national minimum standards laid out by McDonald’s as well as all state and local laws.
