Mott Community College (MCC) will launch its Vaccination Incentive Program (VIP) Saturday, Aug. 14 for students enrolled in the Fall 2021 semester. The VIP will credit enrolled students’ accounts for the value of one free class (up to $750) when they provide proof they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

“We want to show our appreciation to students enrolled at MCC in the Fall 2021 semester who have been fully vaccinated,” said Jason Wilson, Vice President of Student Academic Success.

“MCC strongly recommends everyone get vaccinated to keep themselves and others safe as we return to a mix of virtual and in-person classes and events,” Wilson added.

To provide proof of vaccination, students should take their vaccination card, a photo of the card, or county health records, to the check-in desk on the first floor of the Prahl Center on the main campus in Flint. The VIP starts Saturday, Aug. 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and then continues Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Sept. 17.

In addition to their vaccination card, students will need to bring their photo ID and MCC student number to confirm they are currently enrolled for the Fall 2021 semester.

To be eligible for the VIP credit, enrolled students must have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine no later than Sept. 17, 2021, and their second dosage no later than Oct. 22, as indicated on their vaccination card.

In conjunction with the VIP incentive, MCC will also be offering free COVID-19 vaccinations for enrolled students in the Event Center on the main campus beginning Saturday, Aug. 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and then continues Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Sept. 17.
