Kettering University NSBE to host Spring Fest for Flint community

The B-Section Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) at Kettering University is hosting Spring Fest from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 11, at Atwood Stadium.

The goal of NSBE is to increase the number of African Americans involved in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). At Spring Fest, the group reaches out to youth in the Flint community and immerses them in STEM culture.

Spring Fest has been taking place for more than 15 years.

The free event will feature bounce houses, games, food and hands-on STEM activities for K-12 students. New this year, Ford is expected to bring an electric truck for attendees to check out.
